A super easy tart with cooked caramel made from brown sugar apples. Designed to not look perfect, on the contrary, it should have a rustic feel. Ideal with scoop of ice cream.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Roll out the puff pastry on baking paper and set aside.
In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter with 2 tablespoons brown sugar, making a caramel. Add apples, cinnamon and vanilla then let the caramel cook until soft; for roughly 5-7 minutes.
Let the apple mixture cool for 10 minutes then place in the center of the dough, leaving 2 cm free on the edge. Fold the edges inward to contain the apple mixture.
