Vegemite Snails

    My mother always used to make these when she had left over pastry from baking a quiche or tarts. I just use the frozen kind now! Simple as.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 30 snails

    • 1 sheet puff pastry (or leftover trimmings)
    • butter, as needed
    • vegemite, as needed

    Directions
    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
    2. Thaw the puff pastry or roll out trimmings.
    3. Spread thinly with butter to the edges. Spread with vegemite. Roll up the pastry like a Swiss roll.
    4. With a very sharp knife, cut the roll into 1cm slices and place on baking tray. Bake 10 minutes or until puffed and golden. Enjoy!
