'Clean Plates' Spaghetti and Meatballs

    A twist on the traditional spaghetti and meatballs and especially easy to make if you use store bought meatballs.

    Serves: 4 

    • 20 premade meatballs
    • 4 tablespoons tomato puree
    • 400ml water
    • 1-2 tablespoons soy sauce
    • pinch mixed herbs
    • 5-6 tablespoons gravy mix
    • 400g spaghetti
    • 2-3 teaspoons garlic salt, or to taste
    • pinch dried basil
    • grated cheese, to serve

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:35min  ›  Ready in:45min 

    1. Combine the meatballs and tomato puree in a frypan and start cooking over lowest heat. Stir in the water and let simmer 3-5 minutes.
    2. Add soy sauce, mixed herbs and gravy powder, stir and turn up to medium heat. Let simmer 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    3. Cook spaghetti according to packet directions. Add garlic salt and a shake of dried basil to the water as it is cooking.
    4. Serve with grated cheese and enjoy!
