Chicken drumsticks done a different way. You will need a spice grinder or a mortar and pestle for best results but these masala drumsticks are delicious!
In a spice grinder, whizz the coriander, cumin and cardamom until crushed.
Place the crushed seeds in a frying pan with the chilli powder, pepper, cinnamon and cloves. Cook over medium heat until fragrant. Remove from heat, add oil and water and stir well.
Rub the spice mixture over the drumsticks. You can also make a cut through the thickest part of the drumstick so it will cook more evenly. Marinate 6 hours or overnight.
Cook the drumsticks under the grill or on the barbecue until browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes.
