Lovely spicy crab cakes with mustard, Worcestershire and mayonnaise. I like them fried in butter but you could also deep fry them.

Makes: 8 crab cakes

  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 450g cooked crabmeat
  • 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • flour, for coating
  • 3 tablespoons butter

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:20min 

  1. In a bowl, combine parsley, mustard, Worcestershire, eggs and mayonnaise. Add the crab and bread crumbs and season to taste.
  2. Shape the mixture into 8 patties and coat them lightly with flour.
  3. Melt the butter in a frypan and fry the cakes until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes.
