For something a little different at your next barbecue, try these Indian kebabs which use goat mince. You can substitute lamb, if you must!


Serves: 4 

  • 500g goat mince
  • 1/2 cup paneer cheese, crumbled
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon black onion seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Extra time:2hours marinating  ›  Ready in:2hours20min 

  1. In a bowl, combine all ingredients and marinate in the fridge 2 hours. Soak wooden skewers in water so they won't burn.
  2. Form the mince around the skewers with wet hands. Cook on the barbecue 5 minutes on each side.
