Ricotta Cheese Twists

    Cheese twists made with fresh ricotta and lightly spiced with oregano. A truly delicious snack, easy to make and always popular.

    Serves: 10 

    • 500g plain flour
    • 500g ricotta cheese
    • 500g butter
    • pinch salt
    • oregano, to taste
    • flour, for dusting
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 500g grated Parmesan cheese

    1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C.
    2. In a food processor, combine flour, ricotta, butter, salt and oregano. Process to form a smooth dough.
    3. Dust a work surface with flour and roll out the dough to 5mm thickness. Cut into sticks and twist, then brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
    4. Bake 10 minutes on a greased baking tray, or until golden brown.
