I like very simple cheese twists with only cheese and not other spices, but you can always add sesame seeds or poppy seeds if you prefer.


Makes: 10 cheese twists

  • 500g frozen puff pastry
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 125g grated Emmental or Swiss cheese

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. Defrost the puff pastry and roll out with a rolling pin. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Brush one sheet of puff pastry with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the cheese. Lay another sheet of pastry over it and roll out to seal.
  3. Cut the dough into strips and brush with egg. Twist the strips, place on baking tray and bake 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
