Chilli Crab Salad

    This is a very spicy chilli crab salad with fresh onion, garlic, ginger and flavourings. It's intense so serve it with rice and other side dishes.

    Serves: 3 

    • 800g cooked crabs, such as blue swimmers
    • 1 small onion, finely diced
    • 2cm fresh ginger, diced
    • 2 cloves garlic, finely diced
    • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
    • 1 teaspoon pepper
    • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons rice wine
    • 1 tablespoon chilli powder
    • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

    1. Clean the crabs and cut into small pieces. Crack the claws.
    2. In a bowl, combine the onion, ginger and garlic. Mix together the sesame oil, pepper, soy sauce, rice wine and chilli powder.
    3. Toss the crab with the onion mix, place in a sealed container and refrigerate overnight. Just before serving, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
