Slightly different and to my mind easier than a standard chicken pizza, this recipe uses chicken sausages which are cooked and sliced first.
Makes: 1 pizza
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
500g mushrooms, sliced
dough for one pizza
1 cup pizza or pasta sauce
1 1/2 cup mozzarella, grated
375g chicken sausages, cooked and thinly sliced
1 red onion, halved and thinly sliced
- Preheat the oven to 230 degrees C.
- In a frypan, heat olive oil. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute. Add mushrooms, sprinkle with salt and cook, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes.
- Roll out the pizza dough and place on a pizza tray. Spread the sauce over, then sprinkle with mozzarella, chicken sausages and onion.
- Bake until pizza is done and cheese is bubbling, about 15 minutes.
