Penne with Cream and Smoked Salmon
This is a simple pasta recipe but the smoked salmon makes it fancy enough to serve at a dinner party and impress the guests.

115g smoked salmon, cut in 5mm strips
2 sprigs thyme
salt and pepper, to taste
- Put the penne pasta on to cook while preparing the sauce.
- Melt butter then stir in the cream. Add one quarter of the salmon, the thyme, salt and pepper. Heat gently for 3 to 4 minutes, do not boil.
- Drain the pasta and stir into the sauce. Serve into 4 bowls then garnish with the remaining salmon.
