Cheddar and Parmesan Cheese Biscuits

These cheese biscuits are so simple to make they are great fun to make with children. Cut them into special shapes with cutters.

Makes: 50 biscuits

  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 60g unsalted butter
  • 1 1/3 cups cheddar, grated
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan, grated

Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C. Grease baking trays.
  2. Combine all the ingredients either by mixing with your hands or in a food processor. Knead until it forms a dough.
  3. Roll out the dough to 1cm thick and cut out with shaped cutters, such as stars or rounds.
  4. Bake about 8-10 minutes until they puff up a little. Cool on racks.
