Make these little cheese biscuits with either a hard cheese like Swiss or Gruyere, or a softer one like Cheddar. They are tangy and delicious.
2 cups plain flour
250g butter, softened
2 cups grated cheese
1 egg yolk
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees C and line a baking tray.
- In a mixing bowl combine flour, butter, grated cheese and salt and knead into a soft dough. Roll out and cut into 5cm circles with a biscuit cutter.
- Brush the biscuits with egg yolk and bake 15 minutes or until browning.
