Cheese Biscuits

Make these little cheese biscuits with either a hard cheese like Swiss or Gruyere, or a softer one like Cheddar. They are tangy and delicious.

Serves: 10 

  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 250g butter, softened
  • 2 cups grated cheese
  • pinch salt
  • 1 egg yolk

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C and line a baking tray.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine flour, butter, grated cheese and salt and knead into a soft dough. Roll out and cut into 5cm circles with a biscuit cutter.
  3. Brush the biscuits with egg yolk and bake 15 minutes or until browning.
