Peach Lemonade

Because it is simmered you don't have to use very fresh peaches for this lemonade recipe. It takes a while to make but isn't hard.

Serves: 6 

  • 2 small peaches, pitted and diced
  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup lemon basil leaves
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ice

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Extra time:1hour cooling  ›  Ready in:1hour15min 

  1. In a saucepan combine the peaches, water, lemon basil leaves and sugar. Bring to a simmer, stirring. When the sugar is dissolved remove from the heat and let cool.
  2. Using a colander, strain the mixture into a serving jug. Stir in the lemon juice. Fill cups with ice and pour over the lemonade!
