Because it is simmered you don't have to use very fresh peaches for this lemonade recipe. It takes a while to make but isn't hard.
2 small peaches, pitted and diced
3 1/2 cups water
1 cup lemon basil leaves
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
Extra time:1hour cooling ›
- In a saucepan combine the peaches, water, lemon basil leaves and sugar. Bring to a simmer, stirring. When the sugar is dissolved remove from the heat and let cool.
- Using a colander, strain the mixture into a serving jug. Stir in the lemon juice. Fill cups with ice and pour over the lemonade!
