Hot Buttered Rum Mocktail

    This is my favourite thing to drink in cold weather. The cloves and cinnamon add quite a punch. You could also add real rum I suppose!

    Ingredients
    Serves: 1 

    • 1 cup pineapple juice
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • 10 cloves
    • 2 cinnamon sticks
    • 1 teaspoon rum essence
    • 1 tablespoon butter, softened

    Directions
    Preparation:2min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:7min 

    1. In a saucepan over medium heat bring the pineapple juice, lemon juice, cloves and cinnamon sticks just to the simmer. Strain through a sieve into a heatproof glass. Stir in the rum essence and top with the butter.
