This slushie takes a little bit of extra work because you have to cook the apple first but it's so worth it. Sometimes I add a little brandy too.
1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and diced
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons raw sugar
few drops vanilla essence
1/2 cup ice
- Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and simmer over medium heat until the apple has softened and started to caramelise, about 7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Place the mixture in a blender and puree. Add the ice and blend again until ice is crushed then serve immediately.
