    The secret to good home made lemonade is to put the rinds in because they contain fragrant lemon oils. You can add more sugar if you like it sweeter.

    Makes: 2 litres

    • 6 cups cold water
    • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
    • 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 12 lemons)
    • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 2 limes)

    1. In a large container such as a glass jug combine the water and sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved. Juice the lemons and limes and add the juice and the lemon rinds. Chill until cold and serve over ice.
