Calzone is just a pizza that is folded over like a pastie so it is simple to make for lunch or a snack. You can't go wrong with ingredients like mozzarella and ham.


Makes: 1 calzone

  • 400g pizza dough
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 150g mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 250g mozzarella, shredded
  • 150 cooked ham, diced

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C. Lightly grease a baking tray.
  2. Peel and chop the garlic and slice the mushrooms. Heat up the olive oil in a frying pan and saute the mushrooms and garlic until just softened. Season with salt and pepper and let cool.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough into a circle on a floured surface. Place on a baking sheet and add the mozzarella and ham to one half. Add the sauteed garlic and mushrooms on top of that. Fold the dough in half and seal the edge with water.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes. Serve hot!
