Yeast-Free Pizza Dough

    A recipe for people who prefer to make their pizza without yeast. Use whatever toppings you like, a favourite is goats cheese, smoked salmon, mushrooms and capers.

    Serves: 4 

    • 3 cups plain flour
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup water

    1. Place the flour, baking powder, oil and salt in a bowl and knead for one minute. Gradually add the water while kneading until the dough forms a ball. Knead a few minutes more.
    2. Oil another bowl and put in the dough, turning to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and let stand in a warm place until doubled in size, about 90 minutes. It is now ready to roll out.
    3. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C. Bake 25 minutes for one thick pizza or 15 minutes for two small thin ones.

    this "dough" mix just does'nt work. i was skeptical at first next time i'll go with my gut feeling  -  10 Jun 2014
