Barbecued Strawberry Balsamic Figs

Try this trick for dessert next time you have a barbecue! Figs are rolled in sugar and grilled for a few moments to make them super sweet.

Serves: 6 

  • 12 fresh figs
  • 2 punnets strawberries
  • caster sugar
  • balsamic vinegar
  • cream, whipped lightly
  • mint leaves, for garnish

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:15min 

  1. Cut the figs and strawberries in half, roll them in caster sugar and sprinkle with balsamic vinegar.
  2. Cook them on the barbecue for a few moments until the soften and colour slightly. Place in a bowl, add a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with mint and a few more drops vinegar.
