    This hot punch is great for an autumn party or a Christmas in July. It smells just as good as it tastes.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 16 

    • 2 oranges
    • 8 whole cloves
    • 1 1/2 litres apple juice
    • 1 cinnamon stick
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • 4 tablespoons honey
    • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
    • 2 cups (500ml) pineapple juice

    Directions
    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Stud oranges with cloves, and bake for 30 minutes.
    2. In a large saucepan, combine the apple juice and cinnamon stick. Bring to the boil, reduce heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the nutmeg, honey, lemon juice and pineapple juice.
    3. Serve warm in a punch bowl with the baked clove-studded oranges floating on top.

    Used different ingredients. This punch was delicious. I had to double the recipe and ran out of pineapple juice so I added orange juice as well. Got 3 calls the next day for the recipe. This one is a keeper. - 29 Sep 2008
