    Beef mince simmered with diced onion, rice, shredded cabbage and green beans. This quick and easy dinner is great on a budget and is ready in 40 minutes.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 1 small onion, diced
    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • 500g beef mince
    • 2 tablespoons rice
    • 3-4 cups water
    • 1/4 head cabbage, shredded
    • 1 dessertspoon curry powder
    • 1 (400g) tin green beans, drained
    • 1 (45g) packet chicken noodle soup

    Directions
    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:35min  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. Fry onion in butter until it begins to soften. Add the beef mince and fry until browned.
    2. Stir in rice, water, cabbage, curry powder, green beans and soup packet.
    3. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
