Creamy Savoury Macaroni

    A baked macaroni dish with crunchy crumbs, egg, milk, your favourite seasoning and onion. Baked until it bubbles and the top is a crunchy golden brown.

    • 1 cup macaroni
    • 2 cups Melba toast crumbs
    • 1 egg
    • 1 cup milk
    • 2 tablespoons cream (optional)
    • salt, to taste
    • 1/2 small onion, finely diced
    • your favourite seasoning, to taste

    1. Cook macaroni according to packet directions.
    2. Mix Melba crumbs, egg, milk, cream, salt, onion and seasoning together in a bowl.
    3. In a greased baking dish, layer the macaroni and savoury mixture in alternate layers then bake at 180 degrees C for about 20 minutes.
