Slow cooked over night, this chicken soup is delightful. Chicken, celery, onion, garlic and carrots, this soup is amazing. You can even add matzo balls if you like.

Serves: 6 

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 4 chicken drumbsticks
  • 4 chicken stock cubes
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 5 celery sticks, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • oregano, to taste

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:10hours  ›  Ready in:10hours15min 

  1. In a large slow cooker, add all ingredients. Cover with water. Turn on low and allow to cook 10 hours. Remove bones before serving.


This can be left on warm for several hours after it has finished cooking and would make a lovely soup for sabbath.
