Classic Custard Tart

    This classic custard tart recipe has been passed down though our family. Brown sugar is what makes it so rich and delicious. Makes a tasty dessert or even a snack.

    Makes: 1 tart

    • 130g butter
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 tablespoons flour
    • 1/4 cup (40g) brown sugar
    • 1 cup (250ml) milk
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • salt, to taste
    • 1 prepared pie crust

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.
    2. Place ingredients in saucepan, taking care to mix thoroughly. Cook for 5 minutes after mixture beings to boil. Pour into pie crust then bake until set and crust is golden.
