This very basic biscuit recipe makes the prefect base. Using your own imagination, you can create any flavour of biscuits you are keen on or you can just enjoy them as they are.

The Walters

Serves: 12 

  • 1 cup (250g) butter
  • 1 cup (220g) sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups (500g) flour
  • 1 teaspoon bicarb soda
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
  2. Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs. Stir together flour, bicarb soda and cream of tartar. Combine the wet and dry mixtures.
  3. Roll out thin, cut into biscuits, then bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.
