Sago Boiled Plum Pudding

    This old fashioned boiled plum pudding has your choice of raisins, currants or sultanas, soaked sago and bread crumbs, boiled the old fashioned way. Enjoy.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 1 cup breadcrumbs
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 2 tablespoons sago
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1 cup of raisins, currants or sultanas
    • 1 teaspoon bicarb soda, dissolved in boiling water
    • 1 cup milk

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:3hours  ›  Extra time:8hours soaking  ›  Ready in:11hours15min 

    1. Soak sago overnight in enough water to cover.
    2. Combine all dry ingredients together. Stir in the milk and bicarb soda. Put in a greased pudding mould and boil for 3 hours.
