    This war time recipe has been handed down through my family. This pudding is delicious but I have no idea where it got it's name, as does not taste like the biscuits.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 2 cups flour
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 cup raisins
    • 1 cup currants
    • 1 teaspoon bicarb soda
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • pinch salt, to taste
    • 1 cup boiling water
    • nutmeg or cinnamon, to taste

    Directions
    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:1hour  ›  Ready in:1hour10min 

    1. Mix all ingredients with boiling water, put in a pudding basin then steam for about 1 hour.

    Baking

    I have not tried it, but I believe this could be baked in the oven in a greased cake tin for 45 minutes.
