This light soup makes a great starter to any meal. It has flour dusted onions fried until crisp, chicken stock, beef stock, mushroom and chives. Delicious.

Serves: 4 

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 3 thin slices of onion
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 1 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 small mushroom, sliced paper thin
  • chives, chopped

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

  1. Heat oil in small frying pan. Break apart onion, dust in the flour then cook in the hot pan until golden brown. Remove and set on a paper towel.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the chicken stock, beef stock and soy sauce. Allow to heat through. Pour into serving bowls then add the mushroom, chives and fried onions. Serve.
