Blackberries add a delightful twist to this old favourite. Everyone loves crumble and it makes an easy and comforting treat. Ideal for entertaining. Demerara sugar is available in supermarkets and is often used in baking, because of it's texture and flavour.
In a 20cmx28cmx5cm ovenproof dish mix the apples and the blackberries. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together the flour, millet flakes, rice flakes, buckwheat flakes, sugar and salt. Add the butter and lightly rub together with your fingertipe until crumbles form. Sprinkle on top of fruit mix.
Bake for approximately 35min or until the crumble topping is golden brown. Serve with ice-cream, double cream, or custard.
