Basic Garlic Prawns

This is a great way of making garlic prawns that doesn't require cooking oil, only a little sesame oil for flavour.


Serves: 3 

  • 12 medium prawns
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 1 chilli (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:15min 

  1. Devein prawns and rinse thoroughly.
  2. (Optional) De-seed and mince the chilli.
  3. Heat a wok to hot and add prawns. When the shellfish turn slightly pink, flip them over.
  4. Add remaining ingredients when prawns are half-cooked. Stir-fry till prawns are pink and you're ready to eat!

Cooking prawns

Do not cook prawns for too long or they will turn soft.
