    This is a traditional Indonesian dish called ayam saus asin, or salty sauce chicken. Serve with rice or rice porridge.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2 

    • 3 cloves garlic
    • 1/2 cup dried shiitake mushrooms, soaked in water and drained
    • 500g chicken drumsticks
    • 2 tablespoons Worchestershire sauce
    • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
    • salt
    • white pepper
    • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
    • 2 teaspoons ground ginger (optional)
    • 1 cup water

    Directions
    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:35min 

    1. Sautee garlic until almost golden brown, add shiitake mushrooms and chicken legs. Add all the other ingredients except the water, and saute until the chicken is almost fully cooked.
    2. Add the water as the last step and cover your pot and wait until chicken is fully cooked.
