Chimichurri is a great raw ingredient sauce recipe that originates in Argentina that can be served on steak or barbecue but also makes a good marinade.

Made this sauce for a summer BBQ about a week ago and used it last night. Delicious and really offsets the flavour of the steak I served it with. I would recommend hand chopping or very lightly blending to make it a more chunky sauce. - 05 Dec 2012
