Serve this raita with Indian curries: it is a fresh and creamy addition. It is also a great condiment to cool down the heat if you enjoy very spicy curries.


Serves: 4 

  • 200g plain yoghurt
  • 1/3 continental cucumber, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon mint leaves, finely chopped
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • mint or coriander for garnish

  1. Put all ingredients into a bowl and stir to mix together. Garnish with extra mint or chopped coriander.
