    Ingredients
    Serves: 8

    • 1kg turkey mince
    • 1 1/3 cups bread crumbs
    • 1 small onion, grated and juice drained
    • 2 eggs
    • 3 tablespoons apple sauce
    • 2 teaspoons chilli powder
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • 1 teaspoon sea salt
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 8 hamburger buns, split

    Directions
    Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:40min

    1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees C.
    2. Mix the turkey, bread crumbs, onion, eggs, apple sauce, chilli powder, paprika and sea salt in a large bowl until thoroughly combined. Divide mixture into 8 equal portions, then shape into patties.
    3. Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Arrange the patties in the frying pan then cook until browned, 3 to 5 minutes on each side. Place the browned patties on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Transfer the patties to an oblong baking dish.
    4. Bake the turkey burgers in the preheated oven until no longer pink in the centre and the juices run clear, about 10 minutes more. Serve the turkey burgers on the hamburger buns.

Yummy! We really enjoyed these. They came out very juicy and flavorful. I liked the applesauce in them, gave them just a touch of sweetness. My daughter seen me adding it and thought it was weird but decided later that it was a good idea. My boys devoured them and had 2! It's a winner! I served these with baked sweet potato fries. Thanks for the recipe!  -  16 Nov 2011  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

I have made these twice now. My four sons and hubby love them. You can customize this one to your liking very easily. I added worchestershire sauce the second time (just a few dashes). So moist and stayed together with careful flipping. I love making turkey burgers because I know the size I make them is going to be the size they remain. I use 93/7 ground turkey from JennieO. I served them with a greek salad from this site the first time and some potato salad the second time. I did flip them in the oven after 5 minutes. Love these burgers!!!  -  06 Jan 2012  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

WOW!! This was sooo good! I cut the chili powser b/c I have a 16 month old. I also made it into a loaf and baked it for about an hour. This will be added to my list of "what's for dinner tonight?"  -  07 Dec 2011  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
