Lentil Soup Sauce for Pasta

    20 minutes

This is one of the easiest pasta sauces around but it's a great idea and very tasty! All you need is lentil soup.

    13 people made this

    Serves: 6

    • 500g spaghetti
    • 2 tins (400g) lentil soup
    • freshly ground black pepper to taste

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:20min

    1. Bring a large saucepan of lightly salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain, but do not rinse, and return to the saucepan. Meanwhile, in a separate pot, heat the lentil soup. Stir the lentil soup and pasta together and season with black pepper. Serve with Parmesan cheese.

Good recipe. I added some chopped celery/carrots, garlic and salt. It is great for those in a hurry nights.  -  24 Feb 2004  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

This was great, so easy and delicious...we topped ours with some cheese and mustard. We used Progresso lentil soup and was so happy that it wasn't too salty.  -  30 Nov 2009  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
