This is a great dipping sauce for spring rolls, barbecued pork or chicken. You can also use rice vinegar.
1 cup (250ml) distilled cider vinegar
1 cup (250ml) soy sauce
1/2 cup (125ml) vegetable oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
1 pinch ground cayenne pepper

In a medium bowl, whisk together vinegar, soy sauce, vegetable oil, sesame oil, toasted sesame seeds, chilli flakes and cayenne pepper. Allow the mixture to stand at room temperature 1 hour before serving.
This was good, but I agree w/ those that said that this was too oily...I ended up skimming off most of the oil. Also, I added some sugar to give it a bit of sweetness. I will try this again, but with waaaay less veg. oil. Thanks for sharing. - 07 May 2013
