Heat oven to 220 degrees C. In frying pan, cook onion for 3 minutes over medium high. Add mince then cook until browned. Add remaining ingredients then stir until cooked all mince is cooked. About 5-10 minutes.
Roll out puff pastry. Cut out circles around pie tin, this will be the top. Cut out the circles that are slightly lager than pie tin, these will be the base. Press pie base into pie tin, and press up the sides. Brush rims with water. Add meat mixture then press on tops. Press edges down with a fork. Brush tops with egg yoke.
Place on baking tray then bake.
You can cook these in a pie maker instead of the oven. Takes only 10 minutes.
Excellent filling meal, and can be made with soy minced beef ("mock meat") for a tasty vegan option. But a small favour, please: beginner cooks use this site too. I had to search a load of meat pie recipes to find a suitable oven cooking time. Adding a cooking time to your next submission would be a big help, thanks! - 17 Aug 2015
