Their quick and easy, and they also freeze really well so you can make a big lot of them and just use them as you need.

Makes: 10 

  • 2 1/2 cupss plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Extra time:15min rising  ›  Ready in:45min 

  1. combine all the dry ingredients together. add the oil, then gradually add the water - just enough to form a dough.
  2. knead for 5 minutes then set aside for 10-15 minutes - this makes it easier to roll out.
  3. divide into 10 pieces and roll them into circles or whatever shape they turn into, but they should be about 18 cm across.
  4. heat a fry pan until really hot and cook the tortillas for 30-60 seconds until they bubble and start to go brown. turn and do the same on the other side. and continue to cook them till all done. serve with whatever.


Spray the fry pan with cooking/chefs spray so the don't stick. also wash the pan ever so often to get the burnt flour off it.
