Vanilla-spice Banana Milkshake

    A smooth, chilled banana milkshake, perfect for adults and children alike. The recipe is very flexible, so you can play around with the amounts and ingredients. A great way to serve fruit to the kids.

    Serves: 1 

    • 1 mashed/chopped banana
    • 2 tsp sugar (or honey, if preferred)
    • 250ml milk
    • spices to taste
    • half a tsp vanilla essence
    • 3 cubes ice
    • 1 scoop vanilla ice-cream (optional)

    1. Blend banana into a pulp.
    2. Add in sugar, spices, vanilla and half of the milk. Blend till smooth.
    3. Add the remaining milk and the rest of the ingredients and blend till it reaches the desired consistency.
    4. Serve the shake with a straw and sprinkle with cinnamon!


    Use cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg or a mix for spices. Omit ice-cream, replace sugar with honey and use skim milk for a healthier shake. Don't be afraid to play around with ingredients till you find your own favourite recipe.
