This is a popular South Australian sandwich that is a kid's favourite and couldn't be any easier to make. In other states the meat is known as 'devon', but fritz is a tribute to the large number of Germans that settled South Australia.
This is one of my favourites too and it's now become my children's favourites as well. I've never heard of it being called Fritz (Queenslander, now Victorian) but Devon is always on hand in our fridge. :D - 03 Apr 2012
