My nephew cooked this at school and it was so good i had to ask for the recipe my daughter and i love it

Serves: 4 

  • 30g butter
  • 2 chopped bacon rashers
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 tbsp dried mint
  • 2 tbsp tomarto paste
  • 1 tbsp dried herbs
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 500g diced lamb
  • 2 1/2 cups beef stock
  • 1/2 tbsp mint jelly
  • 400g tin tomartos

Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:2hours  ›  Ready in:2hours20min 

  1. preheat oven to 180
  2. heat butter in pan, add onion and cook until soft then remove
  3. add bacon to pan and cook until crisp then remove
  4. Add lamb to the pan and brown
  5. return bacon and onion to pan and stir in blended flour, stock, mint,mint jelly, tomarto paste, can of tomartos and herbs and bring to the boil stirring
  6. Place mexture into baking dish and cover
  7. Bake for 1 1/2 - 2 hours or until lamb is tender, stirring occasionally
  8. Serve with crusty bread


put baking dish on a tray before you put it in the oven as it is bound to over flow
