Creamy Spaghetti with Chorizo

Easy, simple spaghetti dish packed full of flavour with fresh ingredients.

Serves: 4 

  • 1 packet dried spaghetti or other pasta of choice
  • 1 brown onion, chopped
  • 1 packet baby spinach
  • 400g tin diced tomatoes
  • 1-2 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 chorizo sausages, sliced
  • 1/2 cup light cooking cream
  • 100g reduced fat fetta, cut into small cubes
  • a dash of white wine
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbs olive oil

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

  1. Fill saucepan with water and boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al-dente.Meanwhile cook chorizo in frying pan until browned. Drain off oil and place chorizo onto paper towl.
  2. Heat oil in a heavy based pan. Add garlic and onion until onion is brown. Add diced tomatoes and white wine. Bring to a small boil.
  3. Now add in the cream. Place chorizo, fetta and spinach into pan. Once fetta is soft and spinach is wilted, add spaghetti. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Divide mixture in to 4 even bowls and serve.


Chorizo can be bought pre-packaged near the bacon section of the supermarket.
