    A simple recipe for barbecued barra. Great for a beach side BBQ.

    Serves: 2 

    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon olive oil
    • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 500g (approx) barramundi

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Preheat the BBQ for medium heat and lightly oil cooking grate.
    2. In a small bowl, stir together lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper and bay leaf. Rub fish with mixture inside and out.
    3. Cook the fish over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. Fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork.

    Something else. It's winter and I did not want to bbq so I made the lemon juice mixture omitting the bay leaf, placed fish on piece of foil. Drizzled the marinade over the fish then basted the top with lemon pesto and gathered the foil loosely. Baked at 220 for 15 minutes. Delicious! - 29 Sep 2008


    Happy to be the first to review this one. Fantastic!!!! I had a beautiful thick fillet and barbecued it. The flavour of the fish was not overpowered by the marinade. Super yummy.. - 29 Sep 2008
