Nan's Delcious Scones

    These are the best scones I have made. They stay fresh for a long time too. I love that I dont have to rub butter with my fingers (YuK!!)

    Makes: 24 

    • 4 Cups Self-raising Flour
    • 1 Teaspoon Baking powder
    • 300ml Cream
    • 300ml Water

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl, add cream and mix.
    2. Add water to mix to a soft dough.
    3. Turn onto a floured board and pat down until 1.5cm thick and cut into desired shapes.
    4. Put on to a hot floured board (or line it with baking paper if you dont like the mess) and cook for 15 minutes in a very hot oven 230 - 250c
    5. Delicious with lashings of rasberry jam and double cream with a hot cup of tea. Go on you deserve it!!!
