pikora's indian style potatoe&onion fritter

    pikora is a delishous shallow fryed onion and potatoe fritter with a bit of a kick of spice and flavour.. these delishous treats are good to company a curry or even on there own as entre they are delishous and go down a treat with yoghurt makes as many or little as u want

    Serves: 4 

    • couple potatoes diced around a cup (same amount as onion)
    • couple onions diced around a cup (same amount as potatoe)
    • teaspoon finley chopped fresh ginger (optional)
    • 1 small green chilli diced with or without seeds (optional)
    • 1 tsp chilli powder (mild)
    • 1tsp corriander powder
    • 1 tsp cummin seeds
    • 1/2 tsp curry powder
    • around 1/4cup chick pea flour also knowen as "besan' or gram flour
    • water for binding
    • pinch of salt

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min 

    1. chop potato and chilli and onion and ginger and place in bowl
    2. measure spices and add
    3. add chickpea flour a bit at a time with some water and mix keep adding flour and water intill forms a sloppy mixture
    4. heat oil in fry pan place small sp[oonfulls in hot oil till golden brown yummm yummm
