Grapefruit Margarita

    Most margaritas are made with lemon or lime juice but I prefer the fruitiness of grapefruit. Delicious with a salt rim.

    Serves: 6 

    • 1 1/2 cups (375ml) grapefruit juice
    • 1 1/2 cups (375ml) tequila
    • 3/4 cup (185ml) cointreau
    • 1 lime, cut into 8 wedges
    • coarse salt

    1. Combine the grapefruit juice, tequila and cointreau in a jug. Stir to mix.
    2. To serve, rub the rim of a margarita glass with lime and dip in salt. Fill the glass with ice and top with the tequila mixture. Garnish with a slice of lime.
