Blood Orange Sangria
1 person made this
This sangria is a little unusual, being made with white wine and served hot. Blood orange juice gives a beautiful tint.
2 blood oranges
1 (750ml) bottle fruity white wine, such as Chardonnay
2 small sticks cinnamon
2 whole pods star anise
2 tablespoons cointreau
- Cut off the blood orange zest in four spirals and set aside. Squeeze both oranges.
- Mix juice with wine, cinnamon, star anise and clove and heat without boiling. Stir in orange liqueur and strain.
- Pour into punch glasses and garnish each glass with orange zest.
