Cheesey Mushroom Pasta

    Although I make this with egg noodles it works just as well with pasta. It's very quick and easy to make.

    Serves: 5 

    • 500g egg noodles
    • 1 (400g) tin condensed cream of mushroom soup
    • 1 cup cubed processed cheese
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1/4 cup (65ml) milk
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • salt and pepper to taste

    1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
    2. In large saucepan over medium heat, combine mushroom soup, processed cheese, butter, milk, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Stir until cheese is melted. Stir in noodles and heat through.

    This dish was very simple and tasty enough. I used shredded colby jack because that's what I had on hand, so I had to double the milk to keep the sauce from turning into paste.
