    The basic tuna noodle casserole, simple to make and delicious to eat. Experiment with different cheeses and soups if you like.

    Serves: 4 

    • 220g wide egg noodles
    • 65g butter, cubed
    • 4 slices cheese
    • 1 (185g) tin tuna, drained
    • 1 (300g) tin condensed cream of mushroom soup
    • 1/4 cup bread crumbs

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
    2. In a 1 1/2 litre glass casserole dish, layer noodles, butter cubes, 2 slices of cheese, 1/2 of the tuna and 1/2 of the soup. Repeat the layering with the remaining ingredients. Top the casserole with bread crumbs.
    3. Bake at 180 degrees C for 10 to 15 minutes.
